Notable Mid-Week Series:
Giants at Brewers—
Brewers tied with Cubs entering play on Tuesday in NL Central. They fell back to Chicago after dropping three of four. Their pitching staff sits in the bottom third in WHIP.
Giants tied with the Padres in the loss column. 12 back of Colorado. They are 11-21 on the road. They had dropped five of six prior to a 7-2 road win at Milwaukee on Monday. Giants are 29th in team batting and 28th in runs scored.
Red Sox at Yankees—
Yankees hold a two game lead in the AL East. A good 17-8 record at home. Their pitching staff is fourth in both Team ERA and WHIP.
Word is Big Papi is working out and in baseball shape according to Pedro Martinez. They sit where they have all season near the bottom in home runs. Pitching wise the team is seventh in Team ERA and fifth in WHIP.
Astros at Royals—
Astros a 14 game lead in the AL West. Wouldn’t be surprised if its 20 by the 4th of July. A 20-10 record at home and 22-6 on the road. They are crushing the AL West with a 20-6 mark and 5-0 against the NL. Winning record against all divisions. They carry a 11 game win streak into Tuesday.
KC last in the AL Central at 24-32. This is a team that struggles on offense sitting 29th in runs scored and 28th in team batting.
Notable Weekend Series:
Rockies at Cubs—
Colorado holds a one game lead on the Dodgers. They are 21-10 on the road. Rockies are 13th in Team ERA and 11th in WHIP. 26 quality starts in their 59 games which is 15th in MLB.
Cubs sit tied with Milwaukee in NL Central as they sweep St Louis at home in a three game series and win the first one at home to Miami. They are 27th in team batting at .235.
Brewers at Diamondbacks—

Arizona trails the Rockies by two games. They lose three of four at Miami over the weekend. A much improved home team at 21-8. The Diamondbacks are third in Team ERA at 3.62. Starting rotation is fifth in quality starts.
Reds at Dodgers—
Cincinnati is 26-30 and have a 10-0 lead on St Louis in the fourth inning. The team is 28th in Team ERA at 4.88 and 27th in quality starts.
LA returned home after a 4-3 road trip at Milwaukee and St Louis They dropped the first one at home to Washington on Monday. They are tops in MLB in Team ERA and WHIP.
White Sox at Indians—
Chicago has fallen to fifth in the AL Central at 24-31. It is a five game losing streak after getting swept at Detroit over the weekend.
Cleveland is just one back of Minnesota. Indians 12-14 at home. They are 19th in runs scored at 4.31 per game.
Tigers at Red Sox—
We talked Red Sox already
Detroit a .500 team only 2 ½ back of Minnesota. They carry a four game win streak into Tuesday. Pitching has been an issue sitting 27th in Team ERA and WHIP. Verlander hits the 10 day DL and Norris gets demoted.
Orioles at Yankees—
We talked Yankees already.
Baltimore at 29-26 is 3 ½ back of the Yankees. Their pitching staff gives up baserunners a the team is 29th in WHIP at 1.44. That is nearly 1 ½ base runners per inning.
Angels at Astros—
We talked Astros already
Angels are 29-31 and trying to navigate the next two months without Mike Trout. They lost three of four at home to Minnesota over the weekend. Angels are 27th in runs scored at 4.05 per games.
Rangers at Nationals—
Texas have fallen to 26-31 and 15 ½ back of Houston. They have dropped four straight and eight of ten entering Tuesday. Texas is 24th in team batting at .239.
Nationals holds an 11 ½ game lead over both the Braves and Mets. They are tops in MLB in runs scored and second team batting. They have won eight of ten after beating the Dodgers on Monday on the road.
