Thursday September 18th—
7:30PM ET (ESPN)—Auburn at Kansas St—
Auburn favored by -8 ½ points with a total of 66 points.
Question here is can Kansas St move the chains and convert third downs to keep the Auburn Tigers offense off the field. Problem is Auburn held Arkansas to just 2 of 10 on third down. Auburn is fresh off a bye week.
Kansas St blew a 13-0 lead two weeks ago at Iowa St and needed a fourth quarter rally to overcome a two score deficit and win by four.

Friday September 19th—
8PM ET (ESPN)—Connecticut at South Florida—
South Florida favored by -1 ½ points with a total of 47 ½ points.
There are two programs going under hard times. The under is 4-0 in their past four meetings as no team scored more than 19 points in each of the four games. Both offenses struggles for yards and points.

Saturday September 20th—
12PM ET (ESPN)—Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech –
Virginia Tech -8 with a total of 52 ½ points.
I am not a big fan of Georgia Tech’s defense. They don’t tackle very well. After going up 35-10 at the half to Georgia Southern they give up 28 straight to the Eagles to fall behind 38-35. The Yellow Jackets get a 13 yards touchdown pass by Justin Thomas for the win.
Virginia Tech’s offense got going too late as they fall behind to East Carolina 21-0 before rallying to tie the game. The Hokies defense couldn’t force overtime as the Pirates drove for the game winning touchdown in the closing seconds.

3:30PM ET (CBS)—Florida at Alabama—
Alabama -14 ½ with a total of 51 ½ points.
Florida needed three overtime periods to get past Kentucky last week. It was 20-20 after four quarters as the Gators were slow out of the gate with just a first half field goal. Don’t know if the Gators have the offense to keep up with Alabama.
Alabama in their major test scored a 33-23 victory in week one to a pretty good West Virginia team. Blake Sims is completing nearly 75% of his passes.

3:30PM ET (ESPN)—Virginia at BYU—
BYU -14 with a total of 51 points.
Virginia posted the home upset win against Louisville at home last week. They played UCLA tough at home in week one.
It is a revenge spot for BYU who dropped a 19-16 road decision last year in week one. They started quickly last week against Houston taking a 23-0 lead but Houston rallied to lose by eight as a +17 point underdog in the end. BYU had three turnovers last week.

3:30PM ET (ABC)—Utah at Michigan—
Michigan -5 with a total of 56 points.
Utah is looking for better success against PAC 12 teams. Wonder how they get up for this one. The Utes have not been to a bowl game in two seasons. Utes off a bye after a 32 point home win against a down Fresno St team. They beat an FCS team in week one so the jury is still out on the 2014 Utes.
Michigan bounced back from a 31-0 defeat at Notre Dame with a strong second half effort as they separate from Miami Ohio last week. Have to be concerned about the mistakes as the Wolverines committed three turnovers.

3:30PM ET (ESPNU)-North Carolina at East Carolina—
East Carolina -2 ½ with a total of 65 ½ points.
North Carolina coming off the bye. They gave up a ton of passing yards as they rally past San Diego St in week two with a big second half comeback. In week one the Tar Heels gave up 29 points to FCS Liberty.
East Carolina three tough games in three weeks having played South Carolina two weeks ago and last week they upset Virginia Tech with a huge first half performance. The Pirates showed something blowing a 21 point lead and driving for the game winning road touchdown last week.

7PM ET (ESPN)—Mississippi St at LSU—
LSU -10 with a total of 50 points.
Both teams 3-0 entering play. LSU has covered four straight in this series. LSU in their major test of the season rallied past Wisconsin 28-24 in week one.
The question like it seems it always is in this matchup is whether Mississippi St can get enough points on that scoreboards against the Tigers.

7PM ET (ESPNU)—Northern Illinois at Arkansas—
Arkansas -14 ½ points with a total of 64 points.

Back to back road games for Northern Illinois after getting past UNLV in an extreme heat played at 4PM Las Vegas time. NIU surrendered 29 second half points. The Huskies have a win at Northwestern. Northern Illinois is 13th ranked against the run.
Arkansas broke their ten game losing streak against FBS schools as they pound Texas Tech. It’s a big line here and I can understand because the Razorbacks may be able to wear down NIU and the Huskies second half performance was too good last week. Arkansas had 438 rushing yards last week and ran for nearly 6 ½ yards per carry.

7:30PM ET (FOX)—Oklahoma at West Virginia—
Oklahoma -7 with a total of 62 points.
First big road test for the Sooners. They get the cover at home to a young Tennessee team last week but struggled on third down going 3 of 12.
This West Virginia team may be better than most thought they would be. They go into Maryland last week and win 40-37 as a field goal underdog. They threw for 511 yards.

8PM ET (ABC)—Clemson at Florida St—
Florida St -20 with a total of 63 ½ points.
A rebuilding Clemson team in a tough road spot here. I their past two meetings with Florida St the Tigers defense gave up 49 and 51 points. Clemson coming off a bye week and dropped a 45-21 decision at Georgia in week one.
Florida St is also coming off the bye. In week one survived a test against Oklahoma St winning 37-31 as a -18 point favorite.

8PM ET (ESPN2)—Miami at Nebraska—
Nebraska -7 with a total of 58 points.
Nebraska bullied a very down Fresno St team last week. That came prior to their home scare against FCS McNeese St.
Miami after a week one road loss to Louisville they beat up on Florida Atlantic and Arkansas St. Freshman quarterback Brad Kaaya “The Messiah” has seven touchdowns and five picks. He struggled with accuracy in week’s one and two. Duke Johnson has yet to rush for a 100 yards in a game this season.

10PM ET (PAC12)—California at Arizona—
Arizona -9 with a total of 70 ½ points.
The Wildcats had trouble getting separation against Nevada at home last week. After a week one blowout of UNLV the team has a three point win at Texas San Antonio and a win by seven to Nevada. Freshman Anu Solomon has kept his interceptions down with just one on the season.
Cal is off to a 2-0 start after a win at Northwestern and in week two they crush FCS school Sacramento St. The defense was atrocious last year and we will see if the unit has improved or the good numbers have been a result of the competition.

10:30PM ET (ESPN)—Oregon at Washington St—
Oregon -24 with a total of 75 points.
Washington St could be in for a long season. Mike Leach’s offense desperately needs to get within the times and add a run element to his spread offense.
Oregon has scored 52 points or greater in two straight and five of their past seven meetings with Washington St with the exception being in 2010 and 2011 where the put up 43 points on the scoreboard.

10:30PM ET (FOX1)—San Diego St at Oregon St—
Oregon St -10 with a total of 56 points.
San Diego St is coming off the bye. In week two they blow a 21-7 second half lead as mistakes led to a loss at North Carolina.
Oregon St is also coming off the bye. They have avoided the early season bad loss we have seen in recent years. The 38-30 win a Hawaii was a blowout early at 38-7 after three quarters. Hawaii then made it a two score game with nearly 11 minutes remaining with 23 points in four minute span.
