Wednesday December 28th
New Era Pinstripe Bowl
2PM ET—Pittsburgh vs. Northwestern (ESPN)
Odds: Pittsburgh -5 ½ points with over under of 65 ½ points
Pittsburgh and 8-4 team has a notable win against Penn St and Clemson. They closed out with four straight victories and become a scoring machine with 43 points at Clemson, 56 at home to Duke and 76 at home to Syracuse.
Northwestern is 6-6 and needed at 42-21 victory to Illinois in their final game to become bowl eligible.
Russell Athletic Bowl
5:30PM ET—West Virginia Mountaineers vs. Miami Hurricanes (ESPN)
Odds: Miami -2 ½ points with over under of 57 points
West Virginia 10-2 with their losses coming to Oklahoma and Oklahoma St the two best teams in the Big 12.
After a four game losing streak Miami finished with four straight victories including a 51-28 home victory to Pittsburgh.
Foster Farm Bowl
8:30PM ET—Indiana vs. Utah (FOX)
Odds: Utah -7 ½ points with over under of 54 points
Indiana is a 6-6 team broke a two game losing streak as they defeat Purdue 26-24 to become bowl eligible.
Utah is 8-4 and finished losing three of four as they dropped games at home to Oregon and at Colorado.
Texas Bowl
9PM ET–Texas A&M vs. Kansas St (ESPN)
Odds: Texas A&M -2 points with over under of 56 ½ points
Texas A&M closed out the regular season at 2-4 as they dropped games to Alabama, Mississippi St, Ole Miss and LSU.
Kansas St is 8-4 and closed out the regular season winning five of six games. Against the Big 12 they dropped close decisions to Oklahoma St and West Virginia and by 21 at Oklahoma.
Thursday December 29th
Birmingham Bowl
2PM ET—South Florida vs. South Carolina (ESPN)
Odds: South Florida -10 points with over under of 62 ½ points
Wow, SEC team getting 10 points in a Bowl Game. But South Carolina is 6-6. They finished the year 4-2 with losses at Clemson and Florida.
South Florida is 10-2 winning four straight entering the Birmingham Bowl with notable wins against Memphis on the road and Navy at home.
Belk Bowl
5:30PM ET—Arkansas vs. Virginia Tech (ESPN)
Odds: Virginia Tech -7 points with over under of 61 points
Arkansas enters at 7-5 and remarkably has traded wins with losses since late September. That was a bad loss at Missouri to close out the regular season.
Virginia Tech is 9-4 and made it to the ACC Championship Game and hung around losing by seven to Clemson.
Alamo Bowl
9PM ET—Oklahoma St vs. Colorado (ESPN)
Odds: Colorado -3 with over under of 62 ½ points
Oklahoma St missed their shot at the Big 12 title by losing to Oklahoma. They finished the regular season at 9-3.
Colorado is 10-3 and won the PAC 12 South. They fell to Washington 41-10 which denied the Buffaloes the Rose Bowl. The loss broke a six game win streak.
Friday December 30th
Liberty Bowl
12PM ET—Georgia vs. TCU (ESPN)
Odds: Georgia -1 points with over under of 48 ½ points
Georgia was a 7-5 team and a disappointment. They lose at home to Georgia Tech 28-27 as they enter the Liberty Bowl.
TCU was another disappointment at 6-6 on the year. Quarterback position did not deliver and neither did the defense.
Sun Bowl
2PM ET—Stanford vs. North Carolina (CBS)
Odds: Stanford -3 with over under of 54 points
After a poor start in the PAC 12 the Cardinal greatly improved down the stretch with five straight wins but against losing teams.
North Carolina has a good passing attack behind NFL prospect Mitch Tribusky.
Music City Bowl
3:30PM ET—Nebraska vs. Tennessee (ESPN)
Odds: Nebraska -4 ½ points with over under of 61 points.
Nebraska is 9-3 and had trouble stepping up in competition. That was a bad 40-10 loss at Iowa to close the regular season.
Tennessee is 8-4 and loss at Vanderbilt 45-34 entering their bowl game.
