NCAA Tournament Previews This Week:
Wednesday March 14th—
9:10PM ET—Syracuse vs. Arizona St (TRU)
Arizona St -1.5 O/U 143.5
Two teams beat up by the pundits who felt were not deserving in this tourney. Arizona St has dropped five of seven. Had wins in the non-conference to Xavier and Kansas. They also picked up wins to NCAA tourney teams in San Diego St and Kansas St that may have been looked over by the critics.
Syracuse a good defensive team that can’t shoot the basketball. They have lost four of six entering the tourney.

Thursday March 15th—
12:15PM ET—Oklahoma vs. Rhode Island (CBS)
Rhode Island -2 O/U 158
Location: Pittsburgh
CBS will televise this is all you need to know about Oklahoma avoiding the play in game or even the NIT. Losers of eight of their past ten games and struggled away from home. Rhode Island sat atop the A10 for some time but took some losses in the final couple weeks of the regular season.
3:10PM ET—Loyola Illinois vs. Miami (TRU)
Miami -2 O/U 133.5
Location: Dallas
Ramblers are 28-5 and won the Missouri Valley conference championship tournament. Team is on a ten game win streak. A great shooting team hitting 50.6% with 40% from three.
Miami up and down team in the ACC. Entered the ACC tourney winners of four straight prior to a loss to North Carolina in their opener of the ACC tournament. Defense tailed off late in the season giving up 50% shooting in past five outings.
4PM ET—South Dakota St vs. Ohio St (TNT)
Ohio St -8 O/U 147
Location: Boise
Jackrabbits are champs of Summit League. 28-6 record. They are on an 11 game win streak. They have a win against Buffalo in the non-conference with losses to Kansas and Wichita St. They hit 39.2% of their threes.
Ohio St got off to a great start in Big Ten play. Condensed schedule caught up to the in the end as they suffered three losses in their past five games.
4:30PM ET—NC State vs. Seton Hall (TBS)
Seton Hall -2.5 O/U 157.5
Location: Wichita
Seton Hall in an experienced team and will welcome back into the lineup Desi Rodriguez who had been sidelined due to injury. They beat Butler twice and have home wins to Creighton and Providence.
NC State was one and done in the ACC Tourney losing to NIT bound Boston College 91-87. Defense has been lax in recent games.
7:27PM ET—Davidson vs. Kentucky (CBS)
Kentucky -5 O/U 143.5
Location: Boise
Davidson got hot winning 11 of 13 to close the regular season. A bid thief that got in by beating Rhode Island in the A10 championship game. Davidson is a very good three point and free throw shooting team.
Kentucky played their best basketball late wining the SEC Tournament and heading into the NCAA tourney winners of seven of eight.
7:20PM ET—San Diego St vs. Houston (TBS)
Houston -4 O/U 142.5
Location: Wichita
San Diego St a bid thief from the Mountain West. Pulled a stunning upset of Nevada in the Mountain West semis. They were up 55-25 at the half. Then disposed of New Mexico in title game. They are on a nine game win streak.
Houston dropped a one point decision to Cincinnati in the AAC tournament final. Finished at 26-7. A good offensive team that can make threes.
9:20PM ET—Alabama vs. Virginia Tech (TNT)
Virginia Tech -2 O/U 141.5
Location: Pittsburgh
Crimson Tide a 15 loss team. They had lost five straight entering the SEC tourney. Pulled a buzzer beating win to Texas A&M then crushed Auburn in the semis. Alabama fell to Kentucky by 23 but enough to make the NCAA Tourney as a ninth seed?
Virginia Tech an up and down team in the ACC who suffered recent home losses to Miami and Louisville. They were one and done in the ACC tourney losing to Notre Dame. Hokies are weak on the glass.
9:40PM ET—Buffalo vs. Arizona (CBS)
Arizona -8.5 O/U 157.5
Location: Boise
Buffalo far the best in the MAC. Won all games in the MAC tournament by double digits. Very good offensive team.
Arizona has won four straight and eight of their past nine games. Cruised past USC in the PAC 12 title game. Defensive play got good down the stretch.
Friday March 16th—
12:15PM ET—Providence vs. Texas A&M (CBS)
Texas A&M -3.5 O/U 138
Location: Charlotte
Providence played three overtime games in the Big East tournament beating Xavier and Creighton before losing to Villanova. An experienced team with all five starters back who play heavy minutes.
Texas A&M dealt with injury issues early in conference play. Up and down team that won three straight as they entered the SEC Tourney. Fell by one point to Alabama in the tourney on a buzzer beater.
3:10PM ET—Butler vs. Arkansas (TRU)
Butler -1.5 O/U 151
Location: Detroit
Butler is a 13 loss team that had several bad losses on the road.
Arkansas is an experienced team. Upset Florida in their SEC tourney opener they fell to Tennessee by 18. Razorbacks are a good shooting team that makes 40% of their three point shots.
4:30PM ET—Texas vs. Nevada (TBS)
Nevada -1 O/U 143.5
Location: Nashville
Nevada earned an at large bid with a 27-7 mark. Suffered a blowout loss to San Diego St in MWC semis down 30 at the half. Their major wins came in the non-conference to Rhode Island and Davidson. Lost two of three to San Diego St.
Texas a 14 loss team gets in to the NCAA Tournament. They are a poor free throw and three point shooting team which is a bad combination. Wins in the non-conference to Butler and Alabama.
6:50PM ET—Kansas St vs. Creighton (TNT)
Creighton -1.5 O/U 144.5
Location: Charlotte
Kansas St in a tough conference did pick up wins against quality opposition as they finished at 22-11.
Creighton dropped six of ten to close the regular season. Blue Jays had some bad road losses. They did suffer a key injury to a 12 point and 8 rebound per game forward in Krampelj.
9:50PM ET—Florida St vs. Missouri (TBS)
Florida St -1.5 O/U 147.5
Location: Nashville
Florida St has dropped six of ten entering the tournament. They given up 49.6% from three in their past five games. They have a home win to North Carolina and out of conference to Florida.
Missouri showed improvement this season to finish at 20-12. They have home wins to Tennessee and Kentucky. They were eliminated by a bad Georgia team in the SEC Tournament opener.
