Ole Miss has won eight of nine games after a two point home win to Tennessee on Saturday.
Thursday February 26th
7PM ET—Minnesota at Michigan St (BIG 10)
The Line: Michigan St -9
At 16-12 overall and 5-10 in the Big Ten it looks like Minnesota it NIT bound. They are losers of three straight win a bad home loss to Northwestern.
Michigan St is a lock for the tournament. They are winners of four straight after a seven point road win at Illinois on Sunday.
9PM ET—SMU at Memphis (ESPN2)
The Line: SMU -2
SMU at 22-5 and 13-2 in conference is a 6 seed in Lunardi’s bracket. They are on a four game win streak after a wild come from behind win at home to Temple on Saturday.
Memphis has won three straight but at 9-5 in a weak conference they will have trouble earning an at large berth.
Saturday February 28th
12PM ET—Georgetown at St Johns (CBS)
The Line: St Johns -1
Georgetown is a seven seed in Lunardi’s bracket. They carry a three game win streak after a five point home win to DePaul on Sunday.
St Johns is on the bubble as a ten seed in Lunardi’s bracket. They look for revenge after a 22 point road loss at Georgetown on February 17th. The Red Storm has won five of six games.
2PM ET—Villanova at Xavier (FOX)
The Line: Villanova -3
At 25-2 overall the Wildcats are a #2 seed in Lunardi’s bracket. They host Providence on Tuesday carrying an eight game win streak.
Xavier is an eight seed on the Lunardi bracket. They are 13-2 on their home court but have recent home losses to Butler and St Johns.
4PM ET—Arkansas at Kentucky (CBS)
The Line: Kentucky -17
Kentucky will look to build on a 27-0 record as they travel to Mississippi St on Wednesday.
Arkansas is the second best team in the SEC with a mark of 22-5 overall and 11-3 in conference. They have won six straight as they host Texas A&M on Tuesday.
4PM ET—West Virginia at Baylor (ESPNU)
The Line: Baylor -6
We talked about Baylor already.
West Virginia looks like a lock in the NCAA Tournament. They are a host Texas on Tuesday winners of two straight with a home win to Kansas and on the road to Oklahoma St on Saturday.
5PM ET—Texas at Kansas (ESPN)
The Line: Kansas -6
As we said Texas is at West Virginia on Tuesday. The Longhorns are near the bubble as that dreaded #9 seed on Lunardi’s bracket. They have lost two straight heading into Tuesday night.
Kansas has been a powerhouse on their home court this season. They look to bounce back off a Monday night loss at Kansas St on Monday.
7PM ET—Syracuse at Duke (ESPN)
The Line: Duke -15
No post season play for Syracuse. They play at Notre Dame on Tuesday night losers of two of three all home. One of those losses came to Duke 80-72 as a +7 ½ point underdog.
Duke is lined as a #1 seed in Lunardi’s bracket. They play at Virginia Tech on Wednesday and have won seven straight.
9PM ET—Arizona at Utah (ESPN)
The Line: Utah -2
In Lunardi’s bracket Arizona is a #2 seed and Gonzaga a #1 seed out west. These by far are the top two teams in the PAC 12. The Wildcats are 6-3 straight up in true road games this season. A recent road loss came at Arizona St. They play at Colorado on Thursday.
Utah hosts Arizona St on Thursday after an 11 point road defeat at Oregon on Sunday. Utah is eighth in shooting and 12th in the nation in field goal defense.
Sunday March 1st
2PM ET—SMU at Connecticut (CBS)
The Line: SMU -1
We talked about SMU already.
UCONN cannot be found on Lunardi’s bracket. They are 15-11 overall and 8-6 in a perceived weak conference. They get crushed at SMU on February 14th by 18 points. The Huskies are much better at home as they have been horrific on the road this season.
4PM ET—Michigan St at Wisconsin (CBS)
The Line: Wisconsin -9
We talked about Michigan St already.
Wisconsin is a #2 seed in Lunardi’s bracket at 25-2 overall and 13-1 against the Big Ten. The loss at Rutgers I have to believe is why Wisconsin is not a one seed over Gonzaga. The Badgers have a tough road test on Tuesday at Maryland.
