Wednesday January 28th—
7:30PM ET—Duke at Notre Dame (ESPN2)—
Game is lined at a pick
Duke picks up a come from behind win at St John’s to notch Coack K’s 1000th win. The team has won three straight after their two game losing streak with improved defense.
Notre Dame 7-1 in the ACC. They pick up a three point win in OT at NC State on Sunday as the Wolfpack miss an open three. Only loss in the ACC came by six at home to Virginia.
9PM ET—St Johns at Creighton (FOX1)—
St Johns -1 ½ points
St Johns let one get away on Sunday in a loss to Duke. It would have greatly helped their resume for an NCAA Tourney bid with that win. They fell to 2-4 in the Big East.
It’s a bad year for Creighton at 0-8 in the Big East.
Thursday January 29th—
7PM ET—Maryland at Ohio St (ESPN)
Ohio St -5
Maryland is 6-2 in the Big Ten and bounced back from a 19 point road loss at Indiana with a one point home win to Northwestern on Sunday. They are 2-2 on the road in the Big Ten with a seven point loss at Illinois.
Ohio St is 5-3 in conference play. They are 3-1 at home versus the Big Ten and come off a 12 point home win against Indiana on Sunday.
9PM ET—Kentucky at Missouri (ESPN)
Kentucky -18 points
Kentucky ran their SEC mark to 6-0 with a 15 point road win to South Carolina on Saturday. The Wildcats are the top team in defensive field goal percentage giving up 31.7% shooting.
Missouri is 1-5 in conference losers of five straight since a home OT win against LSU. They struggle from the field hitting 41.4% from the floor ranking 271st in the nation.
10PM ET—Utah at UCLA (ESPN2)
Utah -8 points
Utah has played very well this year and enters play at 6-1 against the PAC 12. After an 18 point loss at Arizona the Utes blowout both Washington and Washington St at home last week.
UCLA is 3-4 in the PAC 12. It was another bad week on the road for the Bruins losing by double digits at Oregon and Oregon St. They are 2-0 at home with an OT win against Stanford and by 19 to Cal.
Friday January 30th—
10PM ET—Oregon St at Arizona (PAC12)
Arizona -13
Oregon St has shown improvement at 14-5 overall and 5-2 in the PAC 12. They beat Arizona at home 58-56 on January 11th. The Beavers are 1-2 on the road win a win to Washington St and losses at Washington and Oregon.
Arizona is 6-1 against the PAC 12 and 18-2 overall. They have won four straight since the loss at Oregon St including double digit home wins to Colorado and Utah.
Saturday January 31st–
12PM ET—Wisconsin at Iowa (ESPN)
Wisconsin -5
Wisconsin is 18-2 in the Big Ten. On the road they have a five point loss at Rutgers and have picked up wins at Northwestern and on Saturday earn an OT win at Michigan in Prime Time.
Iowa is 4-3 in conference. They return home after losses at Purdue and Wisconsin. They are 2-1 at home in the Big Ten with a 14 point loss to Michigan St and wins to Ohio St and Nebraska.
2PM ET—Kansas St at Kansas (ESPN)
Kansas -12
Kansas St is 5-2 in conference as they host West Virginia on Tuesday. They are 1-2 on the road in the Big 12 with a win at Oklahoma in OT with losses at Oklahoma St and Iowa St.
Kansas is 5-1 in the Big 12 as they travel to TCU on Wednesday. They are 3-0 SU and ATS against their three Big 12 home opponents. The Jayhawks picked up a nice 13 point road win to Texas on Saturday.
4PM ET—North Carolina at Louisville (ESPN)
Louisville -3
North Carolina improved to 7-1 in the ACC after a 10 point home win to Syracuse on Monday. They are 3-0 on the road in conference beating Wake Forest, NC State and Clemson.
Louisville is 4-2 in conference as they travel to Boston College on Wednesday. Their last home game in the ACC resulted in a 11 point defeat to Duke. The team struggles shooting the basketball hitting 43.7% from the field and 30% from three. They rank 304th in three point shooting.
4PM ET—Wichita St at Northern Iowa (ESPN2)
Northern Iowa -1
Two top 20 teams tangle from Missouri Valley conference play. Wichita St is 8-0 in conference as they host Loyola Chicago on Wednesday. They are 11th in scoring defense by giving up 56 points a game.
Northern Iowa is 7-1 in conference. They loss came at Evansville by three point on New Year’s Day. They defend well giving up 54 points a game and shoot very well at 47.5% from the field and 38% from three.
7PM ET—Duke at Virginia (ESPN)
Virginia -10
We talked about Duke already.
Virginia is a perfect 19-0 straight up and 7-0 in the ACC. After giving up 28 points to Georgia Tech they survived a scare on Sunday by defeating Virginia Tech 50-47. They are the top scoring defense in college hoops by allowing 49 a game but shoot 47% from the field and 39% from the three point line.
Sunday February 1st—
12:30PM ET—Miami at Florida St (ESPNU)
Miami -3
Miami is 14-5 overall and 4-2 in the ACC as they host Georgia Tech on Wednesday. On the road in conference they have a five point loss to Notre Dame with wins at Duke and on Saturday defeated Syracuse.
Florida St is 2-5 in conference as they host Wake Forest on Wednesday. They can’t hit threes as they make just 27% ranking 342nd in the nation. At home in the ACC the Seminoles have a win against Virginia Tech with a loss to NC State.
1PM ET—Michigan at Michigan St (CBS)
Michigan St -9
Michigan is 5-3 against the Big Ten as they host Nebraska on Tuesday. On the road in conference the Wolverines have wins at Rutgers and Penn St with losses at Purdue and Ohio St. They come off a Prime Time five point OT loss to Wisconsin on Saturday.
Michigan St is 4-3 in conference as they travel to Rutgers on Thursday. They come off a two point road defeat on Saturday to Nebraska. At home in the Big Ten the Spartans have wins against Penn St, Northwestern and Indiana with a loss by two in OT to Maryland.
